May we introduce ourselves...

This is us, John and Barbara Drew, your hosts.

The Cats

Rosie

Rosie

Not often seen by anyone but us, especially since the arrival of Freckles. Needs counselling for her shyness problem.

Freckles

Freckles

Age unknown. Now hardly recognizable from the skinny, scruffy stray that first descended on us in 1997.

While you are here you will probably meet a multitude of winged and four-legged neighbours. We are surrounded by farmland where dairy cows and sheep graze and are often seen being rounded up by the farmer's collie. Rabbits, hares, deer, stoats, hedgehogs, bats and many other tiny creatures are here to be seen by the sharp-eyed. The wealth of birdlife will offer you a change from the more common garden varieties; we hardly ever get sparrows, but we do get sparrowhawks, lapwings, oystercatchers, partridges, willow warblers, wheatears, to name but a few. We have a list of about forty different birds seen from our own premises alone, including, of course, the wonderful curlew with its delightfully
enchanting call.
Take a short walk from here and double the list!
